Lazy Rock is one of the best campgrounds we have been in, very quiet, laid back and relaxing. The service with the room service is amazing and so unique. Friendly people and looking forward to go back year after year!

We had a great time at Lazy Rock in Mattawa. We usually stay in provincial parks, but this private campground appealed to us and we had a great time. The sites are smaller than we’re used to, but there were many positives: Room service: They have a room service feature that delivers orders within 30 minutes. Need more ice? Firewood? An ice cream bar? You order on their site and they deliver it to your site. Loved it. Wi-Fi: The Wi-Fi throughout the park was the best we’ve seen in a long while. You could work using the Wi-Fi, it’s that good. The views: Beautiful. The lake is so beautiful and the natural growth between the sites and the lake looked nice. Also, every day you can see a train pass on the other side of the lake. Very cool. The docks: You can rent boats and use them on the lake. Or you can go swimming in the water off the docks or walk in via the beach. We swam in the lake and put our feet in off the docks - very enjoyable. You can also fish off one of the docks if you’d like. Mattawa didn’t have a ton to offer and there’s not a lot to do in the surrounding area, but we were content to spend time in the park and around the lake. We really enjoyed it and recommend Lazy Rock to others!

We have been going to Lazy Rock since Charisma and Jon took over, they have made an amazing transformation of the well taken care grounds! The beach is clean and there are canoes, kayaks, electric and manual small boats and paddle boats to rent. You definitely can’t beat the service, I’m positive they are the best hosts we have stayed with! We are looking forward to our Waterfront camping trips next year!!

We stayed at Lazy Rock for four nights. The owners were amazing! They went the extra mile for service. Delivered ice and firewood to your campsite. Washrooms and showers were new, spotless and very sttractive. Jonathan one of the owners actually does your tank dump when you check out. We didn't have to toch a thing! The views of the lake were great.. The surrounding countryside is pretty spectacular. The leaves were just starting to change. The only negative we can think of is the firewood could we drier. Enjoyed this campground.

this campground is 10+. the hosts cant do enough for you. all you have to do is call. washrooms and showers are meticulously clean no matter when you use them. just cant say enough. we stayed 1 night on a road trip and came back for 2 more on the way home

We had a great stay at Lazy Rock. The owners are great, sites are nice and wide and the lake is beautiful for swimming and fishing. They are also close to the VMUTS trails which is why we picked this area.
