Seasonal Position | Onsite Housing Provided | Start Date: Early April 2026

Lighthouse RV Resort, a picturesque RV campground along the shores of Lake Erie, is seeking a dedicated and experienced couple to manage all aspects of park operations for the 2026 season. This onsite, seasonal role presents a unique opportunity for a capable couple to oversee daily operations while fostering a welcoming and well-maintained environment for our seasonal guests.

About the Resort

Situated in the heart of Ontario’s lakeside community, Lighthouse RV Resort is home to 103 fully serviced RV sites, offering a peaceful and family-friendly atmosphere. Amenities include:

  • Activity clubhouse, pool, and playground

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee opening procedures starting in early April, ensuring all facilities are prepared for guest arrivals.
  • Manage seasonal agreements, maintaining accurate records and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain grounds, pool, and public areas to high standards. Operate and perform routine maintenance on park equipment including tractors, backhoes, and lawn care tools.
  • Monitor and maintain the sewer system and small drinking water system in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Enforce park rules and policies to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Liaise with external service providers for specialized maintenance needs (septic, pool services, etc).

Additional Duties

  • Regular safety inspections of equipment, pool, and recreational areas.
  • Minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
  • Organization of occasional community events or recreational activities.
  • Light bookkeeping and inventory management.
  • Provide basic tech support for reservation systems and payment processing.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in campground, resort, or RV park management (preferably as a couple).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Physically capable of performing outdoor maintenance in various weather conditions.
  • Proficiency in operating tractors, backhoes, mowers, and trimmers.
  • Experience maintaining water systems and pools is an asset.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred; Pool Operator certification an asset.

Volunteer Position | May–October 2024 | Campsite & Amenities Provided

Prospect Hill Campground, located on Fish Creek near St. Mary’s and London, ON, is seeking a camp host. Couples preferred, singles considered.

Perks

  • Free campsite

Schedule: Friday–Sunday each week. Additional paid hours may be available.

Main Duties

  • Night security during weekends and holidays
  • Gate monitoring during closed hours
  • Visitor check-in during closed hours
  • Camp store sales
  • Wood deliveries
  • Guest assistance
  • Maintenance and project support (plumbing, electrical, etc.)

Resort Manager – Preferably Couple – Hidden Glen on Georgian Bay

Three-season Park | Familiarization in 2026 | Start: May–October 2027

Located on Georgian Bay, this park runs May 1 to October 31 each year.

Location Site

  • 100 trailer sites on 169 acres, fully serviced with water, hydro, and pump out
  • 90 boat slips
  • Community Center
  • Lake with boat launch
  • Hiking trails

Duties

  • Preparation of contracts
  • Opening/closing park operations
  • Daily resort operations
  • Supervise grounds/facility maintenance
  • Manage staff and monitor park activities
  • Ensure guest and associate safety
  • Handle guest complaints professionally
  • Manage boat storage and launching
  • Occasional heavy equipment operation (Bobcats, Backhoes)
  • Bookkeeping and records
  • Vendor and supplier relations

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years resort management experience
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication and customer service
  • Ability to work weekends/holidays
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Capable of light physical labour
