Campground Overview

We offer 130 sites to campers, either on a daily or a seasonal basis.
A select number of sites are situated along the babbling brook that flows through the property.

19 acres of the property have been maintained in their natural state, and have many walking trails to enjoy the unique flora and fauna of the area.

We have over 2500 feet of riverfront along the Rocky Saugeen River, and a hydroelectric dam adjacent to the park creates two distinct sections of the river. Upstream of the dam, a wide and deep section is perfect for swimming, diving, boating and fishing. At the dam, the river drops, creating a very dramatic and beautiful waterfall. Downstream of the dam is perfect for nature hikes and fishing.

Onsite is a pool, a store, an RV service centre, a rental cabin and a recreation hall.

Directions

We are located 5 km north of the town of Durham on Hwy 6, just 1 km east on Rocky Saugeen Rd.

GPS coordinates: latitude 44.1355 N, longitude 80.4937 W, altitude 344 m.

From Hwy 401, use exit 295 and travel north on Hwy 6 for 110 km to Rocky Saugeen Rd (look for the blue highway marker: Amazing Rocky Park Campground). Turn right, and travel 1 km east to our location on the left.

From Owen Sound, travel south for 45 km to Rocky Saugeen Rd, turn left, and travel 1 km east.

Our Mandate

Camping In Ontario, also known as Ontario Private Campground Association (OPCA), is a member-based Association, comprised of small businesses located throughout the Province of Ontario. Our Association was started in 1969 by a group of campground owners that wanted to improve their businesses. While the way we do things has changed over the years, our mandate remains the same:

"As a vital and active stakeholder in tourism, Camping In Ontario supports member campgrounds in the Province of Ontario by educating campground owners, marketing camping in Ontario to the general public and advocating to government."
