Campground Overview

Welcome to Sun Retreats Sandbanks, a vacation park on the shores of tranquil East Lake. With 800 feet of shoreline on beautiful East Lake, Lake Avenue Park is the perfect family getaway for boating, swimming or just relaxing on our sandy beach.

Kids will love our large playground, wagon rides and variety of summer activities throughout the season. Anglers will love the great walleye fishing on East Lake, which also has plenty of bass, pike and pan fish. Sun Retreats Sandbanks features cottage rentals, trailer rentals, RV sites and seasonal sites. Be sure to check our website for a full description of park amenities.

Directions

From the east: Take Hwy 401 W to Hwy 49 S to Picton. At Picton, Hwy 49 becomes Hwy 33. Take Hwy 33/Picton Main St W to Hwy 10 S to Cherry Valley. At Cherry Valley, take Hwy 18 W to Lake Avenue Lane. Turn R on Lake Avenue Lane.

From the west: Take Hwy 401 E to Hwy 62 S through Belleville. Hwy 62 becomes Loyalist Pkwy. Continue on Loyalist Pkwy, turn R on Stanley St. Stanley St becomes Hwy 12. Continue on Hwy 12 S, then take Hwy 18 E to Lake Avenue Lane. Turn L on Lake Avenue Lane.

Our Mandate

Camping In Ontario, also known as Ontario Private Campground Association (OPCA), is a member-based Association, comprised of small businesses located throughout the Province of Ontario. Our Association was started in 1969 by a group of campground owners that wanted to improve their businesses. While the way we do things has changed over the years, our mandate remains the same:

"As a vital and active stakeholder in tourism, Camping In Ontario supports member campgrounds in the Province of Ontario by educating campground owners, marketing camping in Ontario to the general public and advocating to government."
